Disconnected to Reconnect

Have you ever been on a telephone call with someone and lost the signal? Do you know what it feels like to be talking, in the middle of a sentence and no one is on the other line? Well, sometimes as a writer I feel that same emptiness. It really does mimic the feeling of emptiness I have when a call is disconnected. That embarrassment of "Hello? Hello? Helloooo?" Knowing that no one is answering but hoping they are still there just in case.

With text messages, email and other social media outlets we are not connecting with the humanity in people like we used to. Our words can be misinterpreted and misread. What we have to remember is that when someone reads our writing we have their full attention. Choose those words carefully and intentionally so that your send the right message.

It is important to remember that even when words escape you, there is always an opportunity for them to return. You can rekindle the conversation with your words if you just make the attempt to reconnect.

Just like a dandelion that is hard to kill, when you are deeply rooted in your passion, you will stand your ground through the storm and rain.

Girl, Pray for me and dig your roots in deep.
