#NowNovember: Nneka Carter

I see you. Thinking about all the things you been through. The hurts the pains the bad decisions. Thinking about the people who were supposed to protect you but all they did was hurt you by calling you names, instead of giving you names that would inspire you.
I see you re-living all of the negative events with the people who stand around you calling themselves family. I feel the anxiety welling up as the holiday approaches, the fake smiles, the unreal touches, the emptiness, the gifts of great wealth without worth. Overwhelmed is an understatement. When the pain is too much and you need to pull the fakeness out one more time so you drink, smoke or whatever works.
We learn to be fake early.
We fake feeling love in our family, then we recreate the fakeness in our adult lives; you know the characters, baby daddy, BFF, partna, homie, my hook-up, or my friends with benefits…all fake!  We pretend to like our co-workers and our boss is the best because her fake leadership cover has blinded everyone. We fake like everything is okay and we fake like we got it all together but the problem is… we fake.
#NowNovember… start with one…you… free yourself by freeing yourself.
Take your free time and free yourself from fakeness.
Start by writing and reading aloud all the good things about you!
Read positive quotes, watch positive movies, only have positive conversations,  visit positive places, spend as much time getting to know you in a positive light. Remember energy attracts people change your energy you will change your circle! #NowNovember is your time to get it right.
I love you!
