Writer Day 10: Questions

Hello Fellow Writers!

We are 10 days into our journey of the 30 Day Scribe Challenge. I am so excited, because I have met some wonderful people through this journey. Some of the things you share with me are inspiring and thought-provoking. Thank you not only for joining me in a 30 day attempt to be a Scribe, but thank you for being so open to my ramblings. I have even added some new songs to my playlist since yesterday's challenge!

I started this process last year after a friend participated in a 31 Day Blog Challenge sponsored by Lesa Townsend. She had been encouraging me to write a blog and I refused. At the time I didn't realize how much I had to share. Now that we are 10 days in I am looking for the topic for my next book. Any ideas? My goal is to finish another book in my 40th year so I have until December. Let's see what happens.

There are many things I could have us write about today but I just want to keep it simple because we have twenty more days to go. Ask a thought provoking question and try to write at least a three sentence response to it. Share your questions with me and I will answer them in my journal.

Here is mine:

Do you close your eyes when you hug?
I close my eyes because I want to behold (pun intended) the moment. I don't open myself to hug everybody, but when I do I allow that person into my intimate space which is sacred. If I keep my eyes open it shows me that I am either not attached to that person or do not feel connected to them. I love hugging people who are special to me and I find that when there are no words, a hug can translate my compassion.

Girl, Pray for Me and ask your questions,

Sometimes it's better to put love into hugs than to put it into words.

  1. I love that! It made me think about the people I hug - which can be a lot of people between church & sorority stuff - and I do keep my eyes open sometimes. And after reading this post, I realized the times when I close my eyes are those times when I am hugging someone I truly care about.

    1. We have ample opportunities to hug since we are involved in so many things. Today I realized that keeping my eyes open either means I shouldn't hug that person or I need to work on the relationship. Thank you for favoriting the tweet and responding.
