#DaringDecember: Chantel Gibson

#DaringDecember

Because December is the last month of the year it is a time of reflection. New goals are being set and past mistakes are forgiven. The month of December is filled with celebrations, traditions and unity among families and friends.

Seasonal Affect Disorder can cause some to feel lifeless and suddenly stricken with sadness, hurt and defeated. For various reasons December can leave some people feeling down and depressed. Losing loved ones throughout the year causes grief and loss. People feel abandoned and separated. Singles and some "empty nesters" can feel doubt and hopelessness

If you are faced with feelings of loneliness and hopelessness during the month of December I dare you to try the following:

  • take it one day at a time
  • call a close friend
  • listen to music
  • go visit someone
  • read an uplifting article or book
  • take a walk
  • start a conversation with an elderly person
  • volunteer at a shelter or senior center
  • or most importantly spend time connecting with your higher power.
You can make it! Review these scriptures:
Deuteronomy 31:6,
Job 17:12,
Isaiah 45:2,
Proverbs 3:6,
Luke 3:5,

John 14:6
